I bought an 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the winter an ddecided to install a hitch for trailering. this was so easy to install. I am fairly good with tools (but not like tim the tool man taylor), but also intimidated by vehicles. Drop the spare tire, pop some plactic holds for the back bumper and you are in! 4 huge bolts hold it in place and a torch wrench will finish the job. Easy install and cheap. Of course you can't tow a 30 foot boat, but the jet skiis and snowobile have an easy road ahead. It also looks better than the Grand Cherokee cut out version.

This installed in about 30 minutes without removing the rear bumper. Dont hesitate to buy it and intall it yourself with a few hand tools.
Also consider the trailer plug and play wiring I reviewed as it will make your life much easier !!

The product was acceptable but the installation instructions were flawed. The had me doing way too much removing of parts including part of the fender well. Once I removed the rivets on the fender well, the old ones were not reuseable. Included in the parts list was suppose to be new rivets, but there were none. I called Curt and the advise said to reuse the old ones. No way could they be reused, I ended up going to the Jeep store and paid five dollars each, needed six, for a fifty cent product.I probably should have rated this lower but the only saving feature was the hitch itself. By the way, the finder well did not have to be loosen, it took me two hours to install the hitch, if I did it again, it would take forty minutes.
